This morning I had the pleasure of attending the unveiling of a beautiful new signal box art installation at the Clearwater Garden Club, created by artist Heather Rippert as part of America's 250th anniversary celebration 🇺🇸🎨The artwork honors the Clearwater Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and celebrates the remarkable women whose courage, leadership, and service helped shape our nation's history. Public art like this does more than beautify our city—it tells our story, celebrates our shared heritage, and creates spaces that inspire conversation and learning. As we approach America's 250th birthday, it's fitting that we recognize not only the well-known figures of our founding, but also the women whose contributions helped build the country we know today.Thank you to HClearwater Arts AlliancerwaterClearwater Chapter NSDARrwater Chapter NSDAR, and everyone who made this project possible. I'm grateful to see Clearwater continue investing in public art (there are now more than 50 wrapped signal boxes across the city), local history, and the talented artists who help bring our community to life.If you'd like to learn more about the inspiring women featured in the artwork, check out the link in the comments 🔗⬇️

More reason to drive safely 🎆 🚨Lots of people will be hitting the road this upcoming Fourth of July holiday weekend. We want to remind everyone to drive safely — don't speed or drive aggressively. If you don't, there's a good chance our officers will pull you over. We're in the midst of a Florida Department of Transportation contract that pays for officers to work extra shifts on our roads to target bad driving behavior. Slow down, drive safely, and let's keep everyone safe today and every day.
