THANK YOU, CLEARWATER.I have been overwhelmed with gratitude these past few days. Tuesday night we had an incredible victory for our campaign — but more importantly, it was a victory for the people of Clearwater.Tuesday, I traveled across our city from precinct to precinct, talking with voters in every corner of Clearwater. Everywhere I went, I heard the same message: our neighbors are ready for change. They are ready for leadership that listens, brings people together and puts the people of Clearwater first. And Clearwater made its voice heard.Throughout this campaign, so many of you opened your doors to me. You invited me into your neighborhoods, stopped me on the street, shared your concerns, challenged me with tough questions and told me about your hopes for the future of our city. When the politics became divisive and ugly, you refused to give in to hate, fear or division. You chose a different way forward. I am humbled beyond words that you have placed your trust in me to serve you on the Clearwater City Council.To everyone who supported this campaign: thank you. If you put a sign in your yard, knocked on doors with us, waved signs, made phone calls, came to an event, donated, told a friend or neighbor about our campaign, volunteered your time, or cast your vote for me — this victory belongs to you.This campaign has always been about our neighborhoods and the people who make them special.
