Clearwater City Council candidate Jared Leone takes fundraising lead in first campaign finance report

Community leader Jared Leone emerged as the fundraising front-runner in the crowded Clearwater City Council, Seat 3 race following the first campaign finance reports submitted on Tuesday.

Leone raised $1,168 in the first three days of the campaign, which is the time frame the first report covers. Leone’s swift fundraising efforts are a testament to the enthusiasm he has garnered since announcing his candidacy.

“I believe Clearwater is ready for fresh leadership,” Leone said. “I thank those in the community who believe in me and have shown their support to make Clearwater even more bright and beautiful for all.”

Leone has a proven track record of advocating for public safety, responsible development, and environmental preservation. He pledges to continue these efforts once elected to Clearwater City Council.

Leone has served as chairman of the city’s Environmental Advisory Board for six years. He is president of the Spring Branch Neighborhood Association, vice president of Keep Pinellas Beautiful and secretary of the Clearwater Neighborhoods Coalition.
